Online Learning
Online courses are facilitated by an IPM trained instructor. These are offered online over a two day period and requires four hours of commitment, two hours each day. Use of a computer, a current email address, and high speed internet is necessary. Topics are broken into four topics: IPM principles of corn and soybeans including pest identification associated with the Class E (Class 12) pesticides, pollinator protection from neonicotinoid exposure, the regulatory requirements regarding Class E pesticides, and best management practices. Certification is awarded to those obtaining a mark of 75% or greater.

Classroom Information
Classroom courses are taught by an IPM trained instructor. They are one half day in length, either morning or afternoon. Topics covered will highlight IPM principles of corn and soybeans including pest identification associated with the Class E (Class 12) pesticides, pollinator protection from neonicotinoid exposure, the regulatory requirements regarding Class E (Class 12) pesticides, and best management practices. The session concludes with the test. Those who achieve 75% or more will be awarded certification.
Fees
The course registration fee is $97.16 payable by cheque, money order or credit card.
Certificate Cards
Marks and certificates will be mailed to successful participants within 15 business days of course completion. In addition, certifcation can be verified using the Certificate Verification widget found on the Ontario Pesticie Education Program website.
Rescheduling or Cancelling Course Date
IPM Course for Corn and Soybeans, University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus may cancel a course due to insufficient requests, weather conditions or other difficulties. Those registrants will be notifed primarily by email, alternatively by phone.
Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) Credits
Certified Crop Advisors can be awarded 3 CEU credits for attending an IPM Course for Corn and Soybeans.
